Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has approved the list of winners of the Gagarin Prize this year, the press service of the government reports.
Ten teams will receive the award in the field of space activities. They included the creators of the astrophysical observatory “Spektr-P”.
This award has been awarded every five years since 2011. The State encourages space research, development in the field of creation and operation of rocket and space technology and infrastructure, space exploration projects, educational, scientific and educational programs.
The amount of the award is one million rubles.
Earlier, Mishustin noted that Russia still occupies a leading position in space, and its space industry remains at the forefront.
