Nikita Anisimov became the acting Rector of the HSE

Nikita Anisimov, head of the Far Eastern Federal University, has been appointed acting rector of the Higher School of Economics, TASS reports. 

The head of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia Valery Falkov announced the personnel changes at the academic council of the university.

The day before it was reported that the HSE rector Yaroslav Kuzminov, who led the university for 28 years, left his post. The HSE was founded in 1992. Then Kuzminov became the youngest head of a federal university in Russia.

The outgoing rector of the HSE was awarded by Russian President Vladimir Putin with the Order of “For Services to the Fatherland” of the II degree, the decree on the award was published on the Kremlin’s website.

It is noted that Kuzminov will continue working at the HSE as a research supervisor of the university.
