The lawyers of the British Prince Andrew confirmed the fact that he was handed a statement of claim with accusations of sexual violence, reports BBC News.
It is reported that the prince has been officially notified of the civil lawsuit brought against him. It is noted that if he does not take part in the case, he risks automatically losing.
Earlier, the American Virginia Giufre filed a lawsuit against the British Prince Andrew, accusing him of violence allegedly committed 20 years ago.
According to Jufre, she was brought together with the prince by an American businessman Jeffrey Epstein. She claims that the son of Elizabeth II entered into a sexual relationship with her three times against her will in 2001, when she was only 17 years old.
