Vladimir Putin said that Russia will soon put new unique weapons systems on combat duty, TASS reports.

At a meeting held today in the Kremlin with graduates of military universities, the president explained that we are talking about the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile, the ship’s hypersonic missile Zircon, the S-500 anti-aircraft systems Prometheus and other complexes.

The Head of State recalled that hypersonic weapons – Avangard»and « Dagger & raquo;complexes are already on combat duty.

Putin added that a new state armament program with a planning horizon until 2034 is already being formed, taking into account the promising developments of leading scientists, defense institutes and design bureaus. “Its implementation will be aimed at further strengthening the country’s defense potential. And of course, you will have to work with this technique, ” the president stressed, addressing the audience.

He also noted that the highest requirements are imposed on graduates of educational institutions of law enforcement agencies and special services. They will have to stand next to their comrades who ensure law and order and save people, participate in the elimination of the consequences of natural disasters, fight crime and corruption, terrorism, protect the country and our people from internal and external threats, ” the head of the Russian Federation said.

“Significant, visible results in these and other key areas are the key to the trust of citizens, the confident, progressive development of Russia,” the president summed up, expressing confidence that every military officer at his post will act professionally, decisively and firmly in the interests of the Motherland.

Earlier today it was reported that the newest intercontinental rocket was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome. Before that, it became known that Russia had transferred hypersonic weapons to Syria as part of joint exercises of the forces of the permanent task force of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean Sea and the aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
