The state tests of the hypersonic cruise missile “Zircon” have entered the final phase, its serial deliveries will begin this year, according to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The ministry’s message states that special attention is paid to the development and supply of the army with high-precision and hypersonic weapons.
It is noted that a missile regiment equipped with a state-of-the-art Avangard missile system has recently taken up duty in the 13th Division of the Strategic Missile Forces.
Recall that on December 24, a multiple launch of “Zircon” was carried out. In January, the state Commission recommended that the missile be adopted by surface ships of the Russian Navy.
