The British Air Force intercepted a Russian Su-24 bomber over the Black Sea near the coast of Romania. This is stated on the website of the British military department.
It is emphasized that the Su-24 entered the flight information area of Bucharest and continued its flight into the territorial airspace of Romania, without agreeing on a flight plan and without contacting the air traffic control service.
According to the British, the plane allegedly posed a security threat to everyone in the airspace. In this regard, a Typhoon fighter was alerted to the air.
“The Su-24 flew at a distance of no more than 20 miles from the coast of Romania before we intercepted it,” the message says.
As a result, the Royal Air Force followed the target until it left the flight information area.
Earlier it became known about the interception of the Russian Tu-142 by the British military, then it was noted that the aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces flew “near the borders of the airspace of the United Kingdom”.
