The Cabinet of Ministers has increased the deadline for receiving free medicines for heart diseases

The government of the Russian Federation has increased from one year to two years the period for receiving free medicines for Russians who suffer from cardiovascular diseases, writes TASS with reference to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

He said this at today’s meeting with his deputies.

“This is of particular importance for people who have suffered a heart attack or stroke, as well as for those who have other serious cardiovascular diseases. Treatment with medications reduces the risk of repeated and other exacerbations, ” the head of the Cabinet of Ministers stressed.

He noted that patients with cardiovascular diseases will be able to receive appropriate support from the state from January 1, 2022.

Mishustin recalled that Vladimir Putin insisted on the importance of maintaining the quality level of planned medical care. He added that more than 500,000 patients with cardiovascular diseases are currently being monitored at the dispensary. Many of them have been ill with coronavirus and need additional treatment and rehabilitation, including for the prevention of possible complications, the prime minister concluded.

Earlier it was reported that scientists from Germany have developed an effective remedy for covid.
