The first female fighter pilots will appear in the Russian Aerospace Forces in two years, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reports.
“We train all the girls in the Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots (KWAAUL) for combat aviation,” said Deputy Head of the Department Nikolai Pankov after visiting the Orenburg Presidential Cadet School.
He clarified that most of the girls will serve in the military transport aviation, but a few people are preparing for fighter and assault aviation.
Pankov stressed that the female cadets perform the training program for military pilots in full. According to him, they fly and make skydiving “without any indulgences”. The first pilots have already completed the fourth year.
Earlier it was reported that the head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu during a visit to the plant “Dagdiesel” offered the company’s management to employ the wives of military personnel.
