The head of YouTube said that she expects to continue the work of the service in the Russian Federation

YouTube CEO Susan Wodzicki said that she expects to continue the work of the video hosting in Russia, despite possible disagreements with the authorities, Bloomberg TV reports.

According to her, the company intends to ensure the operation of the service and the service of the audience at the highest possible level, including at times when there are disagreements with the authorities.

“The company will do everything to resolve the contradictions,” Wodzicki said, answering a question from TV channel correspondents about the prospects of the service in the Russian Federation.

The head of the service refused to comment on the question of whether YouTube deleted the videos at the request of the Russian authorities. At the same time, she noted that she considers freedom of speech a “key value” in the work of their platform.

Earlier it was reported that Roskomnadzor was engaged in the formation of a register of social networks operating in Russia. Facebook Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Youtube, Likee, Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki are already included in this list.
