The launch of the Starliner spacecraft to the ISS has been postponed until at least September

A representative of the American company Boeing said that the launch of the CST-100 Starliner spacecraft to the International Space Station has been postponed until at least September, Interfax reports.

“We will not launch the ship in August, but not because we did not try, the team conducted many checks and attempts to solve the problem, what they did was incredible,” he said.

It is noted that Boeing will dismantle the spacecraft from the Atlas V launch vehicle and return it to the assembly shop to fix problems that are most likely caused by corrosion of the valves caused by the leakage of the oxidizer.

Recall that the Boeing Corporation planned to conduct a test launch of the Starliner in unmanned mode on August 3.

The ship weighing 13 tons is designed for a crew of seven people and an autonomous flight for 60 hours. It was first launched to the ISS in unmanned mode at the end of 2019, but the docking with the station was then canceled due to technical problems.
