The Leningrad region explained the decision to introduce a high-alert mode

The situation in the village of Kuzmolovo in the Leningrad region is not dangerous for residents. This was reported in the regional government.

Earlier in this locality, a high-alert mode was introduced due to the transfer of an object with a potential radiation hazard from one department to another.

The press service of the regional government noted that this decision is technical and related to the issues of privatization. As specified, we are talking about a warehouse of materials with a radioactive trace, previously owned by the Federal State Unitary Enterprise ” RSC “Applied Chemistry”, which was not included in the list of objects of privatization. 

“By introducing a special regime, the Leningrad Region has raised the issue of determining the specialized user of the specified object before the Federal Property Management Agency,” the regional government said.

Earlier it was also reported that in several districts of the Irkutsk region, a state of emergency was introduced due to forest fires.
