The United States expresses concern about China’s development of hypersonic weapons, reports TASS.
This was stated by Deputy White House Press Secretary Karin Jean-Pierre during a conversation with reporters.
According to her, Washington is convinced that the strengthening of China’s military potential leads to an increase in tension in the region and beyond.
Jean-Pierre also stressed that the American administration “will continue to express its opinion” on this issue.
Earlier it was reported that China successfully conducted a secret test of the latest hypersonic missile, an analogue of the Russian “Petrel”, which was able to circumnavigate the Earth and hit the target, which at first the US intelligence did not know about.
On the eve of the Pentagon also reported on the conduct of three successful tests in the framework of the development of hypersonic weapons of the United States. Reuters, in turn, reports that these tests were postponed due to problems encountered during the launch of the launch vehicle.
