Streamer Andrey Burim, known online as Mellstroy, confirmed in court that he beat the girl during a live broadcast on the Internet. This is reported by TASS with reference to a source in the court.
According to the interlocutor of the agency, the blogger confirmed the fact of the beating, but claims that he had no hooligan motives. Therefore, the defendant believes that the case against him should be reclassified as an administrative offense.
The case against Burim is being considered on Wednesday in the Presnensky District Magistrate’s Court in Moscow.
The crime occurred in October 2020. According to the investigation, Burim during a live broadcast on the YouTube channel grabbed the model Alena Efremova by the neck and repeatedly hit her face on the table. Subsequently, doctors diagnosed the girl with a concussion, a closed craniocerebral injury and bruises.
The victim contacted the police. In her statement, she said that the blogger publicly insulted her and beat her.
Earlier it was reported that Andrei Burim was assigned a psychiatric and linguistic examination.
