Exercises of the Russian aviation and fleet in the Mediterranean Sea

Joint exercises of the forces of the permanent task force of the Navy and the VKS aviation were held in the Mediterranean Sea.

The crews of the ships worked out tasks to repel the attack of enemy air assets and conducted air defense training, and hypersonic missile carriers made training flights accompanied by fighters. Special attention was paid to countering aircraft, helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles of a conditional enemy. Also, during the training flights, aviation equipment and equipment are tested in difficult climatic conditions, including those caused by the influence of high temperatures and the possibility of long flights over the water surface.
