August 12 in Moscow may become the rainiest day since the beginning of the century, Elena Volosyuk, a leading employee of the Phobos weather center, told the TASS news agency.
According to forecasts, there will be a lot of rain in the capital on Thursday, and even a lot of it. Volosyuk noted that from 20 to 30 mm of precipitation may fall, which is 30-40% of the monthly norm.
At the same time, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand said that the weather in the region will improve by the weekend. On Friday, there will be less rain, and the sun will come out at the weekend, partly cloudy weather is expected, and the air temperature will rise to 24-26 degrees.
” At the beginning of next week, it will also be 24-26 degrees. This is absolutely summer weather, ” the specialist said.
He added that this week the nights will be especially warm in Moscow and the region-16-18 degrees. Vilfand explained that due to the clouds, the heat that has accumulated during the day will persist at night.
According to him, this weather will allow the swimming season to continue at least until the beginning of next week.
