The Russian armed forces today represent a fusion of advanced technologies, innovations and knowledge, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with graduates of military universities in the Kremlin. This is reported by RIA Novosti.
The Head of State noted that the commanders of the Armed Forces, in addition to fundamental theoretical training, need a willingness to help their subordinates in mastering the latest models of military equipment.
Congratulating the graduates, the Russian leader also expressed confidence that they will act for the benefit of the Motherland, in the interests of the people of Russia.
He thanked everyone who passed on the experience, knowledge, and traditions of the officer brotherhood to the young people.
The Head of State drew attention to the fact that the meeting was organized in the St. George Hall of the Kremlin, on the walls of which the names of outstanding military men are engraved.The President noted that these people showed courage not for the sake of glory, but “based on the fact that they were given the great honor to serve the Motherland”.
“Be worthy of this honor, worthy of our ancestors,” Putin said.
Earlier, during the commemorative events on the day of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, Putin noted that the citizens of modern Russia will always be grateful to those who gave life and peace to future generations.
The Russian leader also said that the Russian Federation does not seek a unilateral military advantage in the field of strategic stability, but also “will not allow a preponderance in favor of someone else”.
