The latest intercontinental rocket was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome

A successful launch of the latest intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) developed by the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering was carried out from the 1st State Test Cosmodrome of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in Plesetsk, TASS reports.

The tests were held in mid-June.

Prior to that, it became known that the company, as part of the modernization of strategic weapons, began developing a promising ICBM “Cedar” mine and mobile-based.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin spoke about the work on the latest Russian weapons. The President stressed that the country is working on an “antidote to the future of hyper weapons from other leading armies of the world”.The Head of State called the recent tests of the promising Russian sea-based hypersonic missile “Zircon” important. He stressed that the adoption of this missile by the Russian army will affect the strategic balance of forces.
