Deputy Prime Minister-Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev instructed Roscosmos to prepare data on the area of forest fires in Yakutia, TASS reports.
According to him, accurate calculations will allow us to check the efficiency of the system data transfer.
Trutnev stressed that the fires went beyond the borders of the republic due to the spread of smoke and public resonance. He added that all the forces and means of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Aviation Security are involved in the elimination of forest fires. In addition, local residents and employees of the Ministry of Defense provide assistance.
Recall that during the day, 17 wildfires were eliminated on the territory of the republic on an area of more than 57 thousand hectares. In total, the area of forest fires in Yakutia exceeded 7 million hectares. The area of all Yakut forests is 260 million hectares, 2-3% were affected by the fire.
