The Falcon 9 rocket with 88 satellites on board successfully launched in Florida

The Falcon 9 launch vehicle with 88 satellites on board successfully launched on Wednesday from the Cape Canaveral Space Center in Florida. The live broadcast of the launch was conducted by SpaceX.

The launch of the rocket was given at 15: 33 on the time of the East Coast of the United States (22: 33 Moscow time).

The mission, called Transporter 2, is supposed to deliver 88 small satellites into orbit. Five of them were created by the American Space Development Agency, which carries out work for the Pentagon.

After the launch, the first stage of the carrier made a successful vertical landing on a floating platform in the Atlantic.

Before the launch, SpaceX clarified that this is the eighth flight for the Falcon 9 rocket. Previously, it was also used to launch GPS satellites, a Turkish satellite and a number of Starlink missions.

Recall that a day earlier, the Soyuz-2.1 a carrier rocket with the Progress MS-17 cargo ship successfully launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome.
